Design Inspiration
Birdy Barstool brings the posture of a bird into space. Its signature U-shaped bent-tube frame is inspired by the natural image of a bird perched on a branch. This elegant curve is not only visually distinctive, but also functions as a thoughtful footrest. Stillness and movement, form and function, are balanced within this single detail.With its minimalist design language, Birdy offers strong spatial adaptability. It blends effortlessly into residential, commercial, and light-industrial interiors alike. Combining modern simplicity with natural imagery, Birdy is more than just furniture. Birdy was co-designed with Germany’s Schneider Studio. The studio has also designed the Bass Lounge Chair, Pando Sofa, and Vanilla Chair for GRADO, bringing extensive experience in commercial furniture design.

Minimalist Geometric Restraint
Birdy is available in two seat heights, 680 mm and 750 mm, to suit different bar and counter table heights. The base comes in black or white, with a range of upholstery and color options to fit different interior styles. When paired with the Compass trolley during brainstorming sessions, Birdy keeps the user’s eye level naturally aligned with the whiteboard, while making it easy to write at any moment. Its height allows smooth transitions between writing, discussing, and stepping back to review ideas. It feels less formal than sitting in a task chair, yet less tiring than standing.
Its distinctive geometric silhouette is defined by clean lines and no unnecessary ornamentation. In minimalist, modern, or industrial-style interiors, it naturally becomes a visual focal point, offering the dual character of both furniture and display object. Its pared-down form reduces visual clutter, helping bar areas feel more open and orderly. Once tucked back in place, the stools keep the space neat and easy to maintain. The dimensions have been refined through multiple rounds of validation to ensure a natural sitting posture, with both the body and feet supported in comfortable positions. Paired with high-density foam upholstery, it delivers balanced support for extended sitting comfort.
