2025 R&D goal setup almost dictates that three independent production lines are put into operation once the concept design proposal gets approved, with balanced input of resources to make a complete sample of sofa sectionals, lounge chairs, and regular single chairs, which are decided either to be upholstered, solid wood or metal framed. GRADO R&D's centering around developing dynamic subspace-specific furniture solutions instead of arranging the whole large space as a homogeneous one becomes the key. We face challenges like balancing concentrations and collaborations as well as privacy and public sharing as the focus on subspace solution, and draw from general working, living and service spaces, finding that each can be defined by distinctions but connected inherently.

DESIGN FOCUSED BEST SELLER
We aim to walk through dozens of concept design proposals by designers and studios from home and beyond to reach quite a large sum of submissions in 2025. The new product launch will take account of the reupholstered and reissued ones such as the Swell Sofa SKU extensions and Sheep Chair wider arm update in the past year, to adjust to the emerging market needs. The best seller is expected to be born from the designer series, which is often strategically featured as the representative of Grado of its time. The unexpected hot-sale products of 2024, the Aloe Lounge Chair, however, gains inspiration from sweeping tropical lush greens and fine-tunes to the present eco-aware working environment building.

Since we've been working on furnishing office and commercial business spaces for years, the integration of all included subspaces becomes necessary to create more flexible furniture combinations. These dynamic furniture sets can drive the production of more efficient designs, thinking about the integration of their features, to have a well-connected design system. Then, we can move on to developing high-end space solutions by providing high-quality fabric and craftsmanship. We hope to release both featured and regular new products per month, which are all metal or solid wood framed or additionally upholstered. We will test our design concept by making a real sample back in the factory as soon as the proposal is confirmed.
SPACE-SPECIFIC SOLUTIONS
For residential spaces, we find that products with strong versatility and highly perceived value can be a hit. However, office space furnishing is built upon specific project needs and conditioned by budget, scale, location, and so forth, adopting very much the regular portfolios with a speck of characteristic elements. The catering, hotel, and hospitality space designs go beyond further, heavily affected by market-driven influences. The most restrained portfolios feel settled down in healthcare spaces where cost-effective and functional components can save resources for the more important parts.
PROJECT-BASED SPACE SOLUTION STUDY
SPACE SOLUTION SUGGESTION: CAD / SU / VIRTUAL RENDERING
We first render some virtual scenes where we are supposed to place our furniture solutions; however, we realize that all have to update to the given project requirements, which may ask us to re-render the real scenes. The co-presence of our designs at the showroom somehow visualizes the imagined world. However, the reference scenes may only reveal some spatial potential of these furniture sets, unless we model up a real world with digital tools. The real architectural parameters added on help build the physicality of the furniture. However, we find it hard still to communicate the perceived value remotely.
